ARK Team
Jordan Cloutier
Jordan Cloutier, a Red Seal-certified Electrical Journeyman from SAIT, brings hands-on expertise in building and managing greenhouse systems. With experience from heavy oil to high-tech agriculture, Jordan constructed ARK’s prototype greenhouse in partnership with Sprung Instant Structures, handling everything from electrical, HVAC, and plumbing installations to crop cultivation. Under his leadership, ARK has supplied fresh produce to clients like the Sprung Café, Broxburn Vegetables, and YYC Growers in Calgary for over eight years.
Justin Cloutier
Justin Cloutier has led daily operations as ARK’s master grower for the past year and a half, overseeing both produce and rainbow trout cultivation. With a background in Computer Science from the University of Calgary and experience with companies like Sysco, Justin has also managed customer installations at Highfield Farms, GranTierra in Colombia, and Dene Tha’ First Nation. His technical acumen and dedication to sustainable farming ensure the quality and efficiency of ARK’s greenhouse operations.
Dan Cloutier
Dan Cloutier, President of Seer Management Investments (SMI) and a seasoned leader in alternative energy, brings over two decades of expertise in micro-cogeneration and sustainable energy solutions. As the visionary behind ARK, Dan has pioneered combined heat and power (CHP) installations across Alberta, with projects for organizations such as Broxburn Greenhouse, Hole’s Garden Center, the City of Calgary, and Calgary Co-op. Dan’s extensive experience includes small-scale wind, solar, and geothermal projects, and his leadership in sustainable development is recognized throughout Canada.
Dan’s experience spans public and private sectors, including roles in high-growth technology companies such as Sylogist (sold to Fisher Scientific) and Quorum Information Technologies (TSX: QIS). A third-generation Albertan and dedicated volunteer, Dan has contributed to organizations from Clean Calgary to the Calgary Field Naturalists and was awarded Calgary Northstars Hockey Association’s Volunteer of the Year in 2009.
